As a result, the company was able to greatly reduce its budget for training delivery, avoid travel expenses, and slash time to competency by 40 percent.

When pest-control firm Orkin needed to find a solution to better keep its 8,000-employee workforce well trained, it turned to a satellite-based interactive training network designed, installed, and managed by Keystone Enterprise Services. The company was able to greatly reduce its budget for training delivery, avoid travel expenses, and slash time to competency by 40 percent, so it now trains about 3,000 employees annually without lost travel time, says Dan Loveless, senior vice president, Sales and Marketing, Keystone Enterprise Services.

"All things great and small" could have easily been the theme of this year's Consumer Electronics Show. Everywhere you turned big, eye-popping flat screens vied for the attention of those walking the aisles. But in-between the plasmas, LCDs and rear-projection TVs, it was gizmos galore. And no matter what you looked at, be it digital cameras, camcorders or flash media, the theme seemed to be tiny, shiny, easy-to-carry gadgets.
