• LRN acquired GreenOrder, an environmental strategy and management consulting firm best known for advising General Electric on the creation and implementation of its "ecomagination" initiative. It also has advised senior management at companies such as BP, DuPont, General Motors, JPMorgan Chase, Pfizer, and Polo Ralph Lauren. GreenOrder will continue to operate its consulting business as an LRN Company.
• Waypoint, an industry association of regional food service brokers, tapped The Forum Corp. to equip its members' 500 broker salespeople with advanced sales and leadership skills and to roll out a sales process that will be consistent across all the organization's members.
• The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and think tank, and Conenza, a provider of corporate social networking software and services for Global 2000 enterprises, announced that Conenza is sponsoring HCI's Extended Talent Networks online education and research track.
• Nashville-based Lipscomb University launched the Dean Institute of Corporate Governance and Integrity, which is a forum where scholars, legislators and businesspeople convene to examine the driving forces behind business decisions and how corporate behavior affects the bottom line. With initial funding from former Ernst & Young VP Hilton Dean, it will examine profitable companies that successfully create a culture of integrity, and how they do it.
