More M-Learning
September 30, 2008
Who's planning to do mobile learning? eLearning Guild Research results in 2008 indicate that almost 40 percent of eLearning Guild members worldwide expect to do more mobile learning in the next 12 months. Only 1 percent expect to do less.

However, there are big differences when you look at the survey results by region. Among members in the Asia-Pacific region, 54 percent say they will do more mobile learning. In this region, mobile learning already is well-established, and mobile “smart” devices are common.

Infrastructure and geography make a big difference. In Europe, 42 percent of respondents say they will do more m-learning in the next year. Of members in the U.S. and Canada, only 38 percent and 30 percent, respectively, say more mobile learning is in their immediate plans.

Wireless services in some parts of North America are still hard to come by, especially in rural areas and smaller cities.
