How Did You Find That Job? iTunes!

JobsinPods.com lets companies use technology to promote vacancies
By Jacqueline Durett

Ever wish you could go beyond a typical job description when it comes to advertising an opening? A new tool can help you do just that. JobsinPods.com is a site that features positions in an audio podcast setting. The podcast is comprised of interviews site employees do with your human resources staff and other employees.

JobsinPods.com employees, according to press information, ask questions such as: What's it like to work there? What kind of perks do you offer? How do you encourage employee growth? The podcast is available through the site and through iTunes.

"Recruiting is marketing," says Chris Russell, JobsinPods.com founder. "We allow employers to bring their jobs to life and connect with job seekers in ways the traditional job description can't touch. This is a strategic marketing tool for forward thinking employers who want to stand out in the job market."

The site maintains that other companies, such as Microsoft and Accenture, are already using "jobcasts," giving legitimacy to the process.
