"Pick-Your-Perks" at Kimpton August 06, 2008 Enhanced program provides extras for meetings and incentive programs

Since its introduction in 2003, the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants "Pick-Your-Perks" program has provided planners with an attractive choice of creative incentives and great value. Recently, the San Francisco-based company announced a revamp of the popular initiative with new ways to customize group gatherings and additional cost savings.
"The motivation to revamp 'Pick-Your-Perks' was two-fold. One, we had great success with the program in the past, but we felt we needed to incentivize customers to book during certain times of the year," says Christine Lawson, vice president of sales for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. "Two, it provides a great sense of value and motivation to book with Kimpton at a time when planners are more sensitive to costs for their company."
Among the "Pick-Your-Perks" niceties is a choice of two of the following: 50 percent off meeting room rental, 20 percent off audio/visual equipment, two VIP guestroom upgrades, welcome amenity for up to five VIP guests, and complimentary weekend stay given at group discretion for future stay. Additionally, planners will receive an American Express Gift Card, with the value based upon revenue eligibility.
"'Pick-Your-Perks' is a great program, and it offers amenities that the majority of planners want, and typically have to pay additional monies for," says Lawson. "As part of our rate, there are evening wine receptions, morning coffee, free wireless Internet, so it really makes booking a Kimpton hotel a smart business decision."
The brand-wide promotion is available through December 31, 2008.
