Atlantis Unveils Individual Incentive Certificates
February 04, 2010
By Leo Jakobson

The Atlantis Paradise Island resort in the Bahamas is now offering group planners customizable individual incentive award certificates that can include accommodations, airport transfers and a wide range of dining and entertainment options.

The Rewarding Experiences certificates can include accommodations at the resort’s Beach Towers, Coral Towers, and Royal Towers, as well as The Cove Atlantis and The Reef Atlantis.

Dining plans can be included. The Casual Dining Plan and Gourmet Dining Plan both include the option of a private group breakfast if multiple participants go together or individual dining at seven venues, with the Gourmet package adding an eighth: Mosaic. The Dinner options are a private group banquet event or individual dining at eight restaurants under the Casual Plan or 17 under the Gourmet Plan, including Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Café Martinique and Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill.

Customizable activities include golf at the Tom Wesikopf-designed par 72 championship Ocean Club Golf Course, treatments at the Mandara Spa, and dolphin interaction experiences at Dolphin Cay. Home to a pod of Atlantic dolphins rescued after Hurricane Katrina, the 14-acre habitat offers both up-close Shallow Water Interactions or a Deep Water Swim in which guests snorkel alongside dolphins while riding personal water scooters. Airport transfers in shuttles, private sedans, or limousines can be included. A minimum purchase of 10 certificates is required.

Atlantis is also offering group planners complimentary upgrades to suites and 10 percent discounts on A/V equipment and banquet menu prices, and a selection from a list of 10 free amenities based on the size of the group. 10 to 99 participants gets one free amenity, 100-249 gets two, 250-499 gets three, 500-749 gets four, 750 plus gets five and 1,000 or more gets a complimentary concert.

Amenity choices include a complimentary one-hour beach/pool reception with deluxe bar and hors d’oeuvres, in-room internet, fitness center access, 25 percent attrition, five percent room rebate to the master account, shallow water dolphin interaction, additional 10 percent discount on banquet menu prices, additional 10 percent discount on A/V equipment, 20 percent discount on spa services, or a 20 percent discount on green fees at the Ocean Club Golf Course.
