VNU Developing a Virtual Incentive Show
October 20, 2006
NEW YORK, N.Y. (October 19, 2006) —Taking advantage of the changing marketplace, VNU Business Media has announced it is converting The 2007 Incentive Show to a Virtual Incentive Show. Jackie Augustine, Group Publisher, stated, "We are currently looking into producing a virtual trade show and a series of Web seminars to replace the 2007 Incentive Show. Our research shows that buyers have limited time to attend trade shows, and we are excited to announce that we now have the capability to bring the tradeshow to their desks."

Joe Kornik, Editorial Director of the Performance Group, went on, "In the end, it's all about how best to deliver our content in whatever way makes the best sense for our buyers and suppliers." VNU Business Media has hired a team of experts who have created and produced more than 600 virtual trade shows and Web seminars prior to their joining the VNU team. Their expertise will be crucial in developing content, setting up virtual booths and working with the editorial team and key industry leaders to develop educational tracts that are compelling, relevant and accessible 24/7.

In addition, Augustine explained, "We are exploring a Luxury Brands Event to complement our very successful Luxury Brands Magazine that was launched in 2004. The Luxury Brand event will be launched in 2007 in a boutique hotel to bring select Luxury Brand merchandise and travel sellers together with high-end buyers in an intimate setting. We are also exploring regional shows and a breakfast series in the incentive market. These smaller events have worked very successfully within our Travel and Performance group."

Incentive magazine, which celebrated its 101st anniversary in 2006, remains committed to the incentive industry. As the leading magazine in the industry, it is Incentive's mandate to explore new methods of delivery to reach the needs of its readers and the industry.

The magazine's new initiatives will be part of an ongoing program to access customers' needs and deliver new exciting products. For ongoing updates on these new initiatives, please go to www.theincentiveshow.com.
