American Express Incentive Services CEO wins Industry Achievement Award
By Jeanie Casison

Darryl Hutson, CEO of American Express Incentive Services received the 2008 Industry Achievement Award for revolutionizing the use of prepaid cards in incentive programs at the Prepaid Card Expo, held earlier this month at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Hutson played a key role in the move from paper to plastic incentives options, by pioneering efforts that brought ease, choice and value to prepaid cards.

Best known for a process he developed at his days at Maritz known as DirectSpend, Hutson spearheaded the creation of two innovative products: the exclusively yours and Your Choice cards. These cards direct usage to merchant groupings in order to enhance the reward earner's experience. In addition, Hutson utilized his experience in the industry to help develop American Express Incentive Services in 1997.

In addition to Hutson being honored, American Express Incentive Services also received top honors at the Prepaid Card Expo in the "Best Corporate Incentive Program" category with its Telus One Rewards program.

In other news, American Express Incentive Services has welcomed Matt Harris as a new vice president of marketing. Harris will lead AEIS' strategic initiatives for promotions, products, quality and research.
