SMART introduces SMART Board software

On July 14, Calgary, Alberta, Canada-based SMART Technologies Inc., a maker of collaboration tools and software, announced the release of the GoWire SMART Board software auto-launch cable. The software-enabled USB cable launches the SMART Board software automatically when connected to a computer and whiteboard or interactive pen display. It gives users full access to SMART Board software without installing it.

According to a company press release, educators, trainers and presenters can connect their laptop to a SMART Board interactive whiteboard, plug in the launch cable and present. They can write over applications and save their notes and presentation files as usual. The GoWire cable is compatible with both Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.
