Keyboards Finally Safe From Cats

Do you have a fat cat who wanders over your keyboard just as you're creating an essential slide? Or worse, who lies down on your keyboard while you're participating in a WebEx seminar? Your salvation awaits, in the form of (no, really) the Kitty Keyboard Kover. For just $24.95, you can purchase a plexiglass bridge that covers your keyboard but leaves room for you to type.

The copy on the Web site is wonderfully understated, and clearly these folks will make no claims they can't back up. "Made from 1/4 inch acrylic (plexiglass), the cover easily supports a 16 lb (quite large) cat. It also, to a certain extent, helps keep all the kitty hair and dust and dirt out of the keyboard." Pictures abound of Valentiny, a large orange tabby whose overbearing but affectionate ways probably led to the invention. Even if you don't have a cat, you'll get quite a laugh from the photos on kittykeyboardkover.com.
