Sennheiser's new digital conference and interpretation systems released

Last month, Old Lyme, Conn.-based microphone technology company Sennheiser launched the SDC 8200 digital conference and interpretation system series. The product series is designed to replace the discontinued SDC 3000 and SDC 8000 conference series and serves as an expansion for the current SDC 8000 systems in use. The SDC 8200 boasts a central unit for smaller systems of 50 participants or less while incorporating features such as console voting, rotary volume control, camera and media control interfaces, headset capabilities and a new 3.5mm microphone jack.

The SDC 8200 offers two central unit options—SDC 8200 CU-M for small- to medium-sized conferences of up to 50 participants and the SDC 8200 CU for larger conferences up to 120 participants. The SDC 8200 CU-M is available for $3,750 and the SDC 8200 CU is priced at $4,275. Microphone Units are sold separately for $510-$1,500.
