PowerPoint animation effect

Black box



This animation effect will make objects look as though they appear in the center of a box and then fly out onto the slide.



First, draw a box and center it on the slide: draw align relative to slide align center align middle.



Then place nine spheres (or however many objects you need) around the box.



Hold down the control key, click the sphere you would like to appear first (orange for this example) and drag a copy to the center of the box.



With the new sphere selected, apply custom animation zoom in effect, hide after animation. (Again, all animated objects should have automatic timing for now.)



Click on the original sphere (outside the box) and apply the zoom in from screen center effect.



Copy the next sphere in the sequence, center it on top of the box (directly on the orange sphere) and apply the zoom in effect, hide after animation.



Click on this sphere's original and apply the zoom in from screen center effect.



Continue to copy all the outside spheres one at a time, centering each in the box and repeating the effects as described.



When you are finished, play back the slide and watch the spheres pop out of the black box and onto your slide. Applying this basic technique, use your imagination to customize the graphics to fit your presentation. You could illustrate files coming out of a file cabinet, divisions of a company or links from a Web page.
