>> Workforce Alliance is working with Workforce Florida Inc., the Agency for Workforce Innovation, and Microsoft as part of a public-private partnership to provide free technology training to qualified individuals, ages 18 and over, throughout Palm Beach County.
>> Cisco announced a collaboration with the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) to develop the Cisco Industrial Training Programme (CiTP). The parties, together with the University of Malaya, hope to establish an undergraduate internship program to identify and train skilled information and communications technology (ICT) networking specialists for small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs). CiTP will offer on-the-job training opportunities for computer science undergraduate students at the University of Malaya.
>> HQ Global Education Inc., which controls and operates nine vocational schools in China under the "HQ" brand, executed a 10-year revenue-sharing agreement with private, licensed Shandong Shengli Maritime School, currently serving approximately 2,000 students in the coastal city of Dongying. Under the agreement, HQ will assume responsibility for operating the school and implementing its "customized" (or "order-oriented") educational programs there.
>> CAE acquired an equity interest in the China Southern West Australian Flying College (CSWAFC) near Perth, Australia, and will manage the pilot training school as part of the CAE Global Academy network. CSWAFC will operate as a joint venture owned 53 percent by China Southern Airlines and 47 percent by CAE.
