The Executive Boardroom of the Cleveland Clinic's Intercontinental Hotel and Conference Center features a classic blend of old-fashioned elegance and up-to-date presentation technology. All multimedia and videoconferencing elements of a presentation can be controlled from a wireless touch panel. Each seat has access to a microphone, AV connections, data and control ports, and power outlets. Behind the scenes, room-monitoring equipment keeps track of everything that goes on in the boardroom, and taped presentations can be immediately played back. When the screens aren't in use, a sliding architectural panel covers them.

The corporate boardroom at General Mills headquarters serves as both an intimate space for high-level meetings and a showcase of sophisticated multimedia technology. Projected material and videoconferencing can be managed on the big screen, and when the screen isn't needed, the plasma displays mounted on sliding-door panels close to cover it. The technology in the room is almost transparent, but rest assured that every seat has full access to LAN and AV ports, and two separate speaker systems reinforce voice volume or, with video, provide surround sound. The room's overall beauty is enhanced with paneling taken from a single African Makore tree, making the wood grain consistent throughout.
